A warm hug from mom! I have two little boys that keep me really busy but when i finally get a chance to get away from the “craziness” a grab a cuppa tea and instantly a calm rushes over me and i’m finally at peace… even if it is only for a moment or two. πŸ™‚

When i think of having a cup of tea I feel solitude and serenity. Sit back and in my mind I go to a very nice place in my mind. It could be reading a book or hear a lake or ocean .I enjoy a cup of tea when I started and do knitting as they are both my relaxing get aways.

A cup of tea reminds me of happy times that my sisters and I shared with my grandmother, as we enjoyed some tasty sweets with a delicious cup of tea served in her beautiful English bone china teacups . My sisters and I have inherited her vintage teacup collection and continue our grandmother’s tradition by having our own special tea time with our families and friends when we visit each other.

  21. Sally mitchell on January 24, 2017 at 2:16 pm

Tea reminds me of two things: one) a medicine. Whether it’s sleepy time to help me sleep; ginger to calm my stomach; green for energy; roobois for iron and blood strength the list goes on. Tea is the most soothing beverage on earth. It also makes me think of my Oma who, when I was young, would make me a cup of “milch kaffe” (she spoke German) which was black tea with about 90% milk to enjoy while she had her coffee.

How do I love Tea, let me count the ways….Tea, gentle and yet robust, the Elixer of life…Comes in every possible flavour, strength and volume..Taste great alone, or with milk, paired with sugar or drizzled with honey…Tea makes me feel calm, it gives me a little moment of peace, it is super comforting and refreshing… Tea is a social etiquette, a conversation starter, a pick me upper, a little happy moment throughout the day…Pour me a little magic, it’s been a long day….

    • shariteaadmin on January 26, 2017 at 11:10 am

Wow, that is exactly how I feel about tea and a huge reason why we started an “Afternoon Tea Catering Service” Although we do many bridal showers and baby showers, I love being a part of the smaller gatherings of friends or family (Grandmother, Mother, daughter, granddaughter) sharing time, laughter and stories in an unrushed atmosphere of joy over an afternoon tea.

Thank you for sharing, and good luck!

  33. Francesca on January 25, 2017 at 10:30 pm

For me, Tea time means relaxing. Tea Time also means time with family and friends and a time to talk with one another. Tea makes us feel good. Tea has been around for a very long and will continue on – it is a way of de-stressing have a long day or warming up after cold weather. Tea time will always be around.

Cozy afternoons with a steaming mug and a good book, or an evening curled up with my husband and our two dogs in front of the fire as a nice way to wind down from a stressful day or the lively chaos that is a weekend brunch with my family (both my grandmothers were avid tea drinkers) or the beauty and serenity that comes from participating in the Japanese tea ceremony. Tea has many memories attached to it, so it’s hard to narrow it down to just one.
